Age Concern Hammersmith and Fulham (ACHF) have a long history of providing services to older people in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. We have been working for older people for over twenty five years and provide a wide range of practical services and activities that promote well being and independence.
Age Concern Hammersmith and Fulham exists to promote the well being of older people and to help make their life fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We are committed to reducing poverty and fighting disadvantage, defeating ageism and recognising diversity, addressing social exclusion and promoting more effective and responsive public services for older people.
Age Concern Hammersmith and Fulham is a member of Age Concern, the national federation and is expected to fulfil its commitments within a national framework. By working within the Age Concern Quality Framework, ACHF has to demonstrate that, in its activities and management; it works to agreed statements of expectation.
Age Concern Hammersmith and Fulham is a local independent registered Charity (No 289124), a Company Limited by Guarantee (No 1685692)
Age Concern Hammersmith and Fulham enables older people themselves to speak out about local and national issues. We are involved in group discussions at senior management level with statutory agencies to enable joint planning of the provision of appropriate services for older people.

Mission, aims, principles and values
Mission
To provide a professional service, promoting independence and improving the quality of life for all older people in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
PrinciplesOur principles aims are:
- To encourage choice and opportunity for older people
- To ensure that older people are aware of, and have access to, the services, and benefits to which they are entitled
- To advocate on behalf of older people
- To promote positive attitudes towards older people and ageing
- To increase user involvement
- To integrate the needs of minority, black and ethnic elder groups into the services currently provided and those provided in the future
To broaden our services to provide support for fit, healthy, older people as these are seen as preventative measures within health and social care enabling older people to remain independent for much longer.
